The Present

Oh Canada! Why must you be so cold? Just waiting for the bus to arrive to go to work is enough to keep one cold for the whole day despite the fact that the sunshine puts in a little effort to make one believe it is actually a tad warmer than -30°C.

Parents: The Father

It is only natural to assume, is it not dear reader, that everyone has a father. I have one too and his name reveals the blatant fact. Peter Rakobowchuk decided many years ago to marry Agota Szabo and to have a first daughter by the name of Giselle Rakobowchuk. His name is not well known but it appears consistently and often enough in the papers as Peter Rakobowchuk is a journalist for The Canadian Press and his articles can be found in mainstream media outlets such as CTV, CBC, Toronto Sun, Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun, Huffington Post, the list is quite endless really.

An Introduction

Dear Reader,

Allow me to begin again; allow me to reintroduce myself; allow me to present the Portrait of a Woman called Giselle Rakobowchuk. I do believe a few acquaintances and some, if not many, random readers were given the chance to read a post or two of mine from previous blogs I had set up. One of them included musings and studies on virtual worlds, the other was more inclined to presenting my poetic, artistic side while certain online effusions spoke of more personal matters.

I intend this blog to be written for readers interested in life-stories, in autobiographies, in travels and journeys, in art, in poetry, in all things that belong in the life of a single woman who has had the great fortune of seeing and meeting so many intriguing characters and charming places in this fine world of ours and who hopes to see and meet many more. I welcome you, reader, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance.
